ALLVAR is a manufacturer of the world’s first negative thermal expansion metal, ALLVAR Alloy 30. Products include athermalizing lens tubes, constant-force load washers, ultra-stable struts, and custom athermalization components. ALLVAR Alloy 30 is a commercially available alloy that exhibits a -30 ppm/°C coefficient of thermal expansion and can be used to compensate for thermal mismatch of other components.
