Located on the West Coast of Florida, Quality Thin Films, Inc. has been an integral part of the Protonics Industry for 18 years. Founded in 1991, Quality Thin Films is a privately held corporation. Mr. Karl George Sr., President and CEO, began his career at the Perkin Elmer Corporation in 1962. He was directly involved in the development of what was then innovative Technology, such as broadband AR coatings, laser line mirrors, filters, and rain erosion resistant coatings. He also led the team which coated the primary mirror in the Hubble Space Telescope.

Today, QTF offers a wide range of optical components and laser crystal coatings from the UV to the far IR. Our emphasis is on high quality, on time delivery, and excellent customer service. Our state of the art facility encompasses 14,000sq-ft. and includes fully equipped fabrication, polishing, and metrology departments, as well as a large, 8-chamber coating lab supported by a large cleanroom, QA inspection and testing areas.
