Aperture Optical Sciences Inc. provides some of the most unique custom precision optics and systems made in the world today. We develop and employ advanced technology for making aspheric mirrors and lenses, SiC optics, optics for high energy lasers and engage in developmental processes of advanced materials. The name "Aperture Optical Sciences Inc." comes form the term "Aperture", an opening through which light travels. This term has both a specific meaning for optics as well as symbolizing what we provide our customers and employees - a doorway, and opportunity to discover and realize optics technology based products and solutions.

Aperture Optical Sciences Inc.'s mission is to provide its customers with optical components, systems and optically driven technologies that will fuel the growth of their businesses in the US, Japan, Europe and Asia.

We were founded in 2010 as an expansion to "Flemming Tinker LLC" formed in 2005. Our principal products are Silicon Carbide optics, Aspheric mirrors and lenses, laser optics, and opto-mechanical assemblies for applications in the measurement and manufacturing of precision optical components and systems. Our customers use optics in high energy lasers, aerospace, optical lithography, and a variety of scientific research applications.

We manufacture optics in our Connecticut facility and also represent Okamoto Optics Works of Yokohama Japan for sales of custom optics in North America and Europe.
