About

The Spectral Sensor Systems Division offers a comprehensive line of individual optical components and dedicated solutions in process analysis. The following products are offered: Gratings Many years of experience in the development and...

... manufacture of diffraction gratings make Carl Zeiss the right address of diffraction optics. The technical basis of production are holographic exposure systems and ultra-high-precision ruling engines which offer multiple possibilities of modification. Carl Zeiss produces master and replicated gratings for UV-VIS and NIR spectroscopy. These gratings are available as plane or imaging versions. Depending on the required resolution and application, the groove density lies between 4 and 6400 L/mm, and the wavelength range between 150 nm and 20 µm. Modules We offer a wide range of spectral sensors, suitable for industrial applications, for spectrometers with glass fiber coupling and the spectral range from 190 to 2200 nm. Depending on application and requirements, the sensors in the MMS,MCS or PGS family will be used. Thanks to the monolithic design (MMS and MCS) in glass, ceramics and titanium, an extremely good temperature stability and sturdiness is achieved, making the sensors ideal for industrial applications. The CCD and diode array technologies ensure short measuring times and high sensitivity. The concept of the MMS and MCS family is based on reducing the opto-mechanical design as well as the number of components to their physical minimum and, in addition, to use as many of the same parts for the individual versions as possible. A multitude of different MMS and MCS variations are on the market. They are different with regard to their design and parameters but they are all based on the same principle. The flexible design of the MMS makes it suitable for use in many applications. New is the PGS 1.7 and 2.2 Plane Grating Spectrometer. The spectrometer is available in two versions: PGS 1.7, wavelength range 950 nm-1690 nm, InGaAs detector with 512 pixels, resolution 5 nm PGS 2.2, wavelength range 1000 nm-2150 nm, InGaAs detector with 256 pixels, resolution 13 nm The modules consist of optical entrance, collimator lens, plane grating, focusing lens and detector. All units are fixed to each other and are therefore thermally stable, very robust and compact. They feature excellent wavelength stability and outstanding wavelength accuracy. Spectrometers Carl Zeiss is offering on-line, at-line and in-line systems for the measurement of color, concentration and layer thickness. The instruments in question belong to the MCS family or the CORONA family. CORONA is an industrial reflection/transmission measuring head for applications in the VIS/NIR range with an integrated spectral sensor and micro computer. MCS 500/ 600 is a complete, modular spectrometer system with measuring optics that meet the demands of all applications in the UV/VIS/NIR range. The measuring systems are extremely sturdy and provide exceptional flexibility due to the consistent use of fiber optics.
