Our company is specialized on diode lasers based on the III-V compounds GaAs and GaSb. The product portfolio includes tapered diode lasers and amplifiers in the wavelength regime 760nm to 1064nm as well as high power diode lasers in the 2μm regime.Our company was founded in 2001 as a spin-off company by several member of the staff of the well-known Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Solid State Physics. The headquarters is in Freiburg, Germany. The of long standing competence of the associates and the member of the staff in the field of high-power diode lasers together with the close partnership between the m2k-laser GmbH and the Fraunhofer IAF is the base of our company.

In the last years m2k-laser has been established as the market leader concerning GaAs based tapered diode lasers and tapered amplifiers.

In the field of GaSb-based diode lasers in cooperation with Fraunhofer IAF the company focusses high-brightness diode lasers in the wavelength regime between 1.9 and 2.5 μm. First diode lasers are already commercialized in 2005.
