| In the Aoptix scheme, 1550 nm light is taken directly from a transmission fibre, amplified and transmitted through the air. Just before being focused into the receiving fibre, a portion of the beam is directed onto a wavefront sensor via a beamsplitter, which is connected to a deformable mirror. The mirror corrects the distorted wavefront as it enters the fibre. |
