Bacterial spores  detected in real-time by coherant anti-stokes raman scattering

Arthur Dogariu and Yu Huang from Princeton University used an amplified Ti:Sapphire laser emitting 100 fs pulses at 800 nm, a total power of 700 mW and a repetition rate of 1 kHz to detect bacterial spores.
