Conversion efficiency of KTP and KDP frequency doublers versus fundamental energy. Over 52 J of second harmonic radiation was measured with the 2mm hick KTP crystal for an input fundamental energy of 73 J. This corresponds to 71% energy conversion efficiency for an average fundamental intensity of 900 MW/cm². As expected, conversion efficiency saturates at lower intensity (550 MW/cm²) in the 3 mm thick crystal, for input energies of 45 J. |
