| Thanks to the low number of optical surfaces, the diode pump power in the DDL set-up can be reduced for a given output power. This means that the DDL can operate at lower drive current levels, which improves reliability. The DDL emits 20 mW at 488 nm for a diode pump power of around 160 mW. |
