We have some exciting news for readers of Optics.org. The site’s sister magazine Opto & Laser Europe (OLE) is now available in PDF file format and photonics professionals worldwide can now download it free-of-charge from Optics.org each month.

OLE is Europe’s leading monthly publication serving the photonics industry. Each issue covers the latest technology developments, products and business news in the sector and is received by 25 000 scientists, engineers and managers.

The electronic version, OLE Digital, provides a host of benefits that are not available in the print version. For a start, the entire magazine is searchable so that you can look for a particular technical term or company. In addition, the products section and advertisements are hyperlinked so that a single click of a mouse button will take you directly to the relevant firm’s website.

To register to download your free electronic copy simply visit the OLE Digital subscription page and fill out the short form. In order to view OLE Digital your computer will need to be equipped with Adobe’s Acrobat Reader software.

After you have signed up for OLE Digital your print subscription (if you have one) will cease and you will receive an email each month when the latest issue is ready for download. An electronic archive containing each issue of OLE Digital is being established on Optics.org and currently dates back to April 2003.
