Ophir Optics Expand Range of Long Range Observation Lenses

Cost Effective: Range to be Displayed at SPIE Defense + Commercial Sensing Expo, Baltimore

Ophir Optics, a global leader in IR optical solutions, will display an expanded range of cost effective lenses for long range observation systems, at the SPIE Defense + Commercial Sensing Exposition in Baltimore, Maryland, from 17 to 21 April.

Ophir’s MWIR 28-850mm F/5.5 lens, which was launched in 2015, will be joined by two new long range lenses: the MWIR 35-690mm F/4 and the LWIR 40-300mm F/1.5 uncooled LWIR. With the new models, Ophir's range of long range lenses covers the needs of the fast growing surveillance and security industries.

MWIR 35-690 F/4 Motorized Continuous Zoom Lens for Cooled Cameras

The cost effective MWIR 35-690mm F/4 lens, designed for use in cooled, long-range observation systems, delivers a 20 times zoom and detects a NATO target from 22.4 kilometers, recognizes from 10.8 kilometers and identifies from 7.5 kilometers.

The ruggedized 35-690mm F/4 lens is for use with ground systems, onboard naval vessels and armored vehicles and offers a solution for applications such as border control systems, surveillance, forest protection, gas & oil pipeline security, as well as monitoring of other critical infrastructure such as factories, bridges and ports.

Ophir believes the 35-690mm F/4 lens is the right cost efficient choice for a variety of security and commercial applications.
