Imaging Solutions Group Adds 80 Hz 2K Line Scan Model to Lightwise Allegro USB3 Vision™ Camera Line

April 4, 2016 – Fairport, NY – Imaging Solutions Group, a world leader in the design and manufacturing of advanced, high-performance digital cameras, announced the addition of a new 2K Line Scan model to its Lightwise®3 USB3 Vision™ camera line.

The LightWise Allegro ORION 2K is based on the monochrome version of the CMOSIS ORION 2K CMOS sensor, which features 10 micron square pixels or 10 x 200 image resolution running at 80k scans/second. The high resolution Orion 2K, has the advantage of being able to be integrated into compact C-mount cameras like the LightWise Allegro ORION 2K, and used with smaller, lower-cost C-mount lenses. With its high resolution, superior image quality, high dynamic range, and USB 3.0 interface, the LightWise Allegro ORION 2K is well suited for a wide variety of applications that require high speed or detecting extremely low signal levels.

Like all Imaging Solutions Group USB 3.0 cameras, the LightWise Allegro Orion 2K uses a proprietary sensor interface and frame buffer-based architecture for optimal performance and application flexibility. The on-board frame buffer allows high speed image capture and buffering of multiple frames at higher rates than the USB 3.0 bandwidth can sustain in continuous mode, enabling burst mode capture and other custom capture modes.
