10 Sep 2008 Elliot Scientific offers the Eblana EP1550-NLW-B Butterfly laser to the sensor and comms sectors. Ideal for broadband, where high efficiency phase encoded signals are needed to overcome bottlenecks.
The ultra-narrow sub-400 kHz linewidth 1550nm Butterfly Laser Diode Module now available from Elliot Scientific is already in use for broadband communications applications where high spectral efficiency, phase encoded signals are used to overcome bottlenecks.
Manufactured by Eblana Photonics, the EP1550-NLW-B is offered to specifiers in the coherent communications, sensors, medical device and imaging equipment industry sectors.
The lasers have a guaranteed emission line-width specified at 400kHz and below, with highly linear Light Current characteristics and high Side Mode Suppression Ratio (SMSR).
A strained multi-quantum well Discrete Mode laser chip is supplied in an industry standard 14-pin butterfly integrated with optical isolator, TEC, thermistor and power monitor photodiode. |
