Sony XCL-5000 5MP Industrial Camera discontinued, XCL-5005 popular replacement

Since its discontinuation in late 2008, the XCL-5000 Black/White 5 MegaPixel Camera is replaced with the improved XCL-5005 that uses the same CCD sensor and is compatible with the same frame grabbers.

Incorporating a 2/3-type progressive scan IT CCD producing ultra-high resolution images of over 5,000,000 effective pixels at 15 fps, the XCL-5005 and XCL-5005CR feature a multitude of functions useful in machine-vision/inspection applications including; *Vertical and horizontal partial scanning *Built-in real-time hardware pre-processing, and *Flexible high-speed outputs *External trigger shutter *Robust Build - highly resistant to shock and vibration *Auto-selectable power from a PoCL connector or an EIAJ connector for backward compatibility with the XCL-5000 Compatible with standard C-mount lenses adding to their cost-effectiveness, these ultra-high resolution digital cameras capture clear, fast moving objects or still images in low light environments.
