nPoint Inc. Appoints Optophase As Distributor in Western Europe

Date Announced: 22 Jun 2011

Company makes ultra-stable closed-loop nanopositioners.

nPoint Inc., the leading global manufacturer of flexure based nanopositioning systems capable of sub-nanometre positioning resolution has appointed Optophase as distributor of its products in Western Europe (France, England, Ireland, Spain, Portugal) but also within the following countries: Norway, Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Hungary, Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia and Turkey.

The expertise in ultra stable closed-loop nanopositioners has made nPoint the leading provider to customers that depend on high-speed and high-resolution performance. nPoint's piezo-actuated flexure stages combined with their DSP-based controllers provide the highest level of nanomotion control.

This new product line now offered by Optophase covers the entire spectrum of nanopositioning, with single axis, multi-axis and tip-tilt stages for numerous applications. As some examples:

• Super resolution microscopy : STED, PALM, STORM, 4Pi
• AFM, NSOM and scanning probe microscopy upgrade
• Ultra High Vacuum use
• Micro/nanopositioning systems designed to fit most current microscopes
• High speed confocal imaging
• High resolution optical alignment
• Single molecule spectroscopy
• Particle tracking
• Optical tweezers
• Nanoscopy
• Nanolithography

The addition of the nPoint piezostages to Optophase’s portfolio of the existing positioning product line further strengthens the company's product line-up, and pushes it towards being the premier supplier to the Western European nanotechnology, biophysics and life science communities.
