June 17, 2016, Mountain View, CA and Eugene, OR - MLD Technologies, LLC, is pleased to welcome Michael J. Cumbo as its new General Manager, effective June 15th, 2016. Dr. Cumbo brings over 30 years of experience in the design, development, and production of thin-film coated optical components, lasers and related instruments at publicly traded photonics companies such as OCLI, JDS Uniphase, Coherent and IDEX, and at venture capital funded startups BinOptics, Raydiance, NanoGram Solar and Eta Diagnostics.
MLD’s co-founder, Gary DeBell, stated, “We are very pleased to announce Michael’s appointment as the General Manager of MLD. His history of customer-centric technical innovation and business leadership in the optics and photonics industry will be very valuable as we continue to scale our aerospace and defense production while accelerating the pace of our commercial business activities.”

ABOUT MLD Technologies:
MLD Technologies, LLC, manufactures extreme performance OEM and custom optics for aerospace, defense, industrial, medical, and scientific applications.
