OCLARO High-Power Laser Products Added to ProPhotonix Range.
SALEM, N.H., March 28, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ProPhotonix Limited (PPIX.L) (PPIR.L) (OTC:STKR.PK), a designer and manufacturer of LED illumination systems, laser diode modules and a laser diode distributor, announces that it will distribute OCLARO's line of high-power lasers in North America and Europe, effective immediately.
OCLARO's High Power Lasers complement ProPhotonix's low power laser diodes and laser modules in established markets such as Medical, Defense and Security, and Instrumentation. The new products will also enable ProPhotonix to address a wider set of applications including materials, processing and printing. ProPhotonix is already a major distributor of OCLARO's Visible and Near IR laser diodes.
OCLARO has one of the industry's largest portfolio and technology capabilities for industrial and consumer markets. It manufactures high power lasers with multiple packaging options. The addition of these solutions will offer ProPhotonix customers a comprehensive solution set for their applications and enable the Company to grow revenues in markets hereto unavailable with its existing products.
Commenting on the distribution agreement, Mark W.
