| Osram is providing 300 LED projectors to light up the "Monumento Cristo Redentor" on Mount Corcovado outside Rio de Janeiro, for the 80th anniversary of the landmark. High-effiicency LED lighting has appeared in such architectural applications for a number of years, but is now primed for significant commercial and domestic use, as the cost of the technology decreases.
