AM6-940B-20-608 940 nm 6 W Pump Diodes Jan 5, 2009

A new series of 940nm, 6W uncooled multimode laser diodes for cladding-pumped telecom fibre amplifiers will improve the dollar-per-Watt performance for high-reliability laser diode pump solutions by about 50%.

The new AM6-940B-20-608 from Alfalight Inc. includes a thermistor for temperature tracking, supporting complete system diagnostic and performance monitoring. It is available in a compact hermetic 6-pin package and is offered with a 105µm, 0.22 NA fibre. Target applications are erbium-ytterbium fibre amplifiers for CaTV and FTTx networks.

The device is fully qualified and meets all GR-468 standards. Engineering samples and production volumes are available now from Pacer, with pricing on request.
