Light Conversion Ltd is a pioneer and world leading manufacturer of continuously wavelength tunable ultrafast light sources. Established in 1994, as a spin-off from Vilnius University Laser Research Center, the company has built its strength on profound knowledge in the field of optical parametric generation and amplification.
Since the very start of production and many years ahead of its competitors, Light Conversion’s TOPAS series of parametric amplifiers has offered numerous pioneering solutions such as very compact, non breadboard based construction, computer controlled wavelength tuning and vast flexibility in terms of input energy and pulse duration. Since then over a 1200 TOPAS series systems, many of those tailored to meet very specific customer requirements, have been installed worldwide.
The TOPAS series of femtosecond and picosecond optical parametric amplifiers offer highest conversion efficiency, broadest tuning range and shortest pulsewidth of any commercial tunable ultrafast laser. It features user-friendly, completely computer controlled operation. For further details please look at the range of products and access relevant datasheets from the TOPAS product page.
In 2007 Light Conversion introduced PHAROS ultra short laser system. Featuring femtosecond pulse output parameters along with robust, industrial design PHAROS has gained significant attention from industrial and scientific customers. Primary applications of Light Conversion femtosecond laser are in material processing and micromachining. However coupled with ORPHEUS parametric amplifiers PHAROS becomes an attractive laser source for ultrafast spectroscopy applications.
Femtosecond Yb system PHAROS is a versatile ultrashort laser platform offering unprecedented flexibility and reliability for scientific and industrial applications. A single package with a footprint of only 65 x 40cm encloses a complete femtosecond ytterbium based amplifier system and automatic harmonic generators. A range of external OPAs is available for tunable wavelength output. PHAROS delivers optical pulses with duration <190fs, 15W average power, and variable repetition rate 1kHz..1MHz. For further details please look at the range of products and access relevant datasheets from the PHAROS product page.
Established in 1994, as a spin-off from Vilnius University Laser Research Center, Light Conversion is a private company with more than 70 employees. The company is based in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.
