World Infrared Imaging Markets to Reach USD 790 Million in 2000

17 Jun 2002

According to a report published this week by Maxtech International, Inc. the world infrared imaging markets for commercial and dual-use military systems reached a volume of USD 660 million in 1999 and are expected to reach USD 790 million this year.

These markets are poised for a new spurt of growth - with the development of uncooled focal plane arrays (FPAs) and cameras driving most of this change.

Maxtech's report is a 340 page analysis of both thermal imaging and spot infrared thermometry markets. The report forecasts market sizes through 2005 separately for Infrared Imaging and Thermometry. Forecasts are also provided separately for cooled and uncooled infrared imaging equipment in the many application areas.
