Tracor wins DERA contract for range instrumentation radars

Tracor Services Corporation has won a contract worth approximately 9.6 million pounds sterling to manufacture and install two transportable G-band RIR 779 range instrumentation radars for the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency. The radar systems will be used by DERA's Test and Evaluation Air Ranges Department at the Royal Artillery Range in Hebrides and the Aberporth Range in Wales to track airborne objects and provide time-space-position information.
