TRW, Veridicom will jointly develop advanced fingerprint ID device

TRW, Inc., and Veridicom, Inc., will work on the joint development of an advanced fingerprint identification device with a wide range of applications. The cooperation effort will use Veridicom's solid-state imaging devices and image processing expertise to produce a high-quality fingerprint image, while TRW will incorporate that technology into its high-speed fingerprint matching algorithms and security and communications technologies. Expected applications include home, office, and automotive security access.
