OSI Optoelectronics Unveils Industry-First 400-1700nm Two-Dimensional Position Sensitive Detector and Analog Module

HAWTHORNE, CA - OSI Optoelectronics today announced the launch of its latest innovation in photonic technology: the APX-VNG0031PSD Two-Dimensional Position Sensitive Detector (PSD) series, featuring an industry-first extended spectral range of 400-1700 nm, along with the complementary E-VNG0031PSD Analog Module series.

APX-VNG0031PSD Series
These high-sensitivity, high-accuracy, 2 mm-diameter 2D Tetra-Lateral Extended Visible InGaAs PSDs provide precise positional information at any location within the detector region, regardless of beam shape, size, or power distribution. Key features include:

• 2kΩ Interelectrode Resistance for exceptional positional resolution and signal-to-noise ratio
• 20 µm Position Detection Error
• Extended spectral range from 400 to 1700 nm

Available in hermetically sealed TO-5 with anti-reflective windows, these PSDs suit applications such as triangulation, beam stabilization, free space communication, range finding, target tracking, missile interception, IR countermeasures, vibration and distortion measurement, and direct position detection.

E-VNG0031PSD Series
The E-VNG0031PSD analog module series integrates APX-VNG0031PSD detectors with transimpedance amplifiers, providing exceptional spectral sensitivity from 400 to 1700 nm. Key features:

• 5 MHz cutoff frequency for high-speed performance
• SMA connectors for easy input/output
• UNC threading for cage and optical mount compatibility
