03 Apr 2025 The fiber couplers series 60FC-SF by Schäfter+Kirchhoff with super-fine thread are ideal for demanding applications that require a precise focus setting. These fiber couplers are now available with achromats of shorter focal lengths with 3.1 mm and 4 mm. Both achromats are each available in three different broadband AR-coatings, together covering the range from UV-IR.
The fiber couplers can be used as collimators for laser radiation from a single-mode fiber and also as fiber couplers with high pointing stability. The adjustment of the focal setting is easy, highly defined and improved, ensuring high coupling efficiencies even when the divergence or the wavelength of the laser source used varies.
The distance between the fiber end-face and the collimating optics is adjusted using a threaded ring with a super-fine thread of 0.35 mm pitch, and the enhanced mechanics result in increased pointing stability and reduced backlash during focus setting. The lens in these fiber collimators is spring-loaded, and the linear bearing ensures that the lens does not rotate when adjusting the focus. |
