19 Sep 2024 Beta-Barium Borate (BBO) is a nonlinear crystal characterised by a broad phase-matchable range from 409.6nm to 3500nm, a wide transmission region from 190nm to 3500nm and a high laser damage threshold. BBO is commonly used in second, third and fourth harmonic generation of Nd:YAG lasers, and is the best choice for fifth harmonic generation at 213nm.
