Our Fresnel Lens' formation consists of a flat surface with interspaced, concentric steps whereby each step corresponds to the surface of a conventional lens. What's more, Fresnel Lenses feature a typical focal length equivalent to a traditional lens, but with a fraction of the thickness. And, because the lens is so thin, little light is lost by absorption.

Here at Knight Optical, we stock a wide variety of Fresnel Lenses – from PMMA Acrylic, PMMA Cylindrical, Glass, Reverse Configurations (for solar concentration) and Lenticular types. Popular amongst specifiers working on magnification displays is our high-quality PMMA Acrylic Fresnel Lenses, thanks to the substrate's light weight, which makes it easy to integrate into larger-scale devices. Not only are our Fresnel Lenses offered in a range of shapes and sizes from stock, but we also supply customers with Custom-Made Fresnel Lenses manufactured specifically to meet the needs of their end product.

Our stock range varies from 5mm to 650mm apertures and comprises two types – standard and precision ranges. The precision varieties have tighter tolerances with improved surface quality, and are uncoated; however, Antireflective (AR) Coatings can be applied at short notice.
