06 Feb 2020 LASER COMPONENTS would like to introduce to you the NIR-MPX800 series phase modulators from iXblue, especially designed to operate in the 800nm wavelength band. They are available with various modulation bandwidths, from low frequency to 20GHz and beyond.
Like all iXblue Near InfraRed (NIR) modulators, the NIR-MPX800 series use a proton exchanged based waveguide process that gives them an unparalleled stability and a high photo-refractive threshold.
We have seen recently an increasing demand in such products for applications including quantum optics, fibre sensors, interferometric based sensors and frequency shifting. The process of proton exchange from iXblue is indeed appealing as it exhibits superior stability and power handling capacity for these low frequency to 20GHz as well as a low Vπ and insertion loss modulators.
