04 Jul 2013 Orient Display has just announced a new series of character LCD modules which are directly controlled by I2C and SPI interfaces.
High reliability makes mono LCD technology ideal for industrial and consumer applications. Most standard character LCD modules currently available have a parallel interface - a serial interface is generally an easier and more efficient interface to implement.
All of the new parts are listed on the Monochrome LCD table on Pacer's website, with the interface indicated in the part number.
