24 Jun 2013 The VISualize range of conversion screens is an essential aid with the alignment, location and visualisation of laser beams across the range of UV-NIR. We can offer the following three types as a low cost alternative to beam profilers:
UVisualize – specifically designed to provide long after glow imaging. Laser pulses can be safely viewed allowing the beam profile and beam alignment to be checked. The UVisualize cards detect UV at powers as low as 1nW/cm2 allowing for persistent yellow emission with no optical charging required.
VISualize – a general safety tool is ideal for the inspection of visible laser sources such as argon ion, HeNe and laser diodes when laser safety goggles are being worn. VISualize is popular in laser diode, Nd:YAG and communications wavelength bands providing orange/red emission.
VisualizeIR – our bestseller Visualize card is unlike most conventional IR detector cards. There is no need to optically charge the VisualizeIR, and more importantly it will not discharge. It is most popular for Nd:YAG/YLF and communications wavelength bands, providing green emission under CW or pulsed NIR laser. It is capable of detecting IR at powers as low as 175nW/cm2.
All of the above are available in three formats:
1. laminated “credit card” style – budget format suitable for low power lamp and laser use;
2. 25mm disc and clip-on wand – specifically designed for laser engineers and optics experimentalists where frequent component positioning is required;
3. optical bench mounted head – rugged, 40mm active area, free standing 13.7mm mounting post and post holder allowing centre adjustments from 90-235mm. Ideally suited for laser alignment components positioning and beam profiling – complete with alignment target.
