14 Dec 2010 Alkor Technologies provides optional Optical DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating on Germanium and Silicon windows. Typically used in thermal imaging applications where environments that may cause damage to standard AR coatings.
The DLC coating can be optimized for spectral range 3-5 and 7-14 microns. Position of the maximum-transmission centre could be changed by the customer's request.
The distinctive features of the DLC coatings are:
* Low unsoundness of the coating
* Guaranteed adhesion
* High optical parameters in the IR band
* High strength, durability and resistance to external aggressive effects.
Maximum size of the DLC coated windows is 150 x150 mm with guaranted thickness uniformity +/- 3%.
Germanium windows with DLC coating have successfully passed all necessary environmental, optical and mechanical tests, applicable to such products. |
