03 Sep 2008 An ultra miniature rotating disc optical chopper has been introduced by Scitec Instruments. It is intended for oem applications but will also be of interest for compact or low-cost research projects Scitec Instruments has launched the Model 360 OEM Ultra Miniature Rotating Disc Optical Chopper system. It consists of a chopper head, drive board, photochemically etched discs and interconnecting lead. The chopper system uses 30 mm diameter discs and can be used to generate chopping frequencies in the range 10 Hz to 14 KHz. Both chopping head and pcb level drive board have been designed to be as compact as possible. Their small size allows them to be used where space is critical. As the system has been designed for OEM use, each component is available separately. |
