02 Jul 2007 DILAS, a world leader in high power semiconductor lasers featured its complete series of high brightness, high power, conduction cooled fiber coupled modules at Laser 2007 in Munich, Germany, June 18-21, 2007. Fiber coupled diode lasers have grown to be one of the most popular formats for system integrators. DILAS’ fiber coupled modules combine high power with high reliability and stable performance. It’s compact, cost-effective packaging design and steady fiber attachment, results in power levels of 30W, 40W, 50W, 100W, 200W and 400W, at standard wavelengths (790nm to 976nm), based on a single bar or multi-bar 400µm fiber coupled diode laser modules. In addition, DILAS provides 200µm SMA-fiber coupled devices at power levels of 30W, 50W and 120W. For powers and fiber core diameters >120W/200µm and >200W/400µm the modules are equipped with a high power QBH fiber connector.
The product series is rounded out with DILAS’ 400µm fiber coupled modules in the wavelength range of 1380nm and 1470nm, ranging from 12W up to 80W power output from the fiber.
Our in-house semiconductor design and highly automated high volume manufacturing line enables DILAS to deliver exceptional value to a broad range of industrial laser markets which makes the fiber coupled module an ideal tool to system integrators in applications such as fiber laser pumping, medical treatments, material processing, etc.
Efficient fiber coupling is available for multimode fibers with core diameters at 200µm or 400µm with a numerical aperture of 0.22. Its sealed housing which is provided with a standard SMA 905 fiber connector protects the diode laser bar and its micro optics against contamination and mechanical damage. In addition, the modules are equipped with a second user exchangeable window for use in harsh environments or in conjunction with disposable fibers.
All modules of this series are available with an optional integrated pilot beam, power meter and temperature sensors, as well as fiber detection sensors. The fiber coupled diode laser modules are available in standard wavelengths of 808nm, 915nm, 940nm, and 980 nm as well as and other custom wavelengths. |
