Manx Precision Optics (MPO), the Isle of Man-based manufacturer of high-energy laser optics for high laser‑induced damage (LIDT) threshold coatings and ultra‑flat surface optics, has reached an agreement with Opton Laser International, a leading French distributor of photonics equipment headquartered in Les Ulis, Île‑de‑France.
Under the terms of the agreement, Opton Laser International will promote, sell and support MPO’s standard and custom high‑energy laser components – spanning optics up to 500 mm in diameter, reflective, diffractive and polarisation optics and etalons across France and Switzerland.
Dr Helmut Kessler, MPO Managing Director said: “Partnering with Opton Laser aligns with our vision of advancing the capabilities of laser science and its practical application. We look forward to effectively serving research and industrial laser system integrators and users in France and Switzerland. Opton Laser’s established presence within the French photonics sector and its team of application engineers will enhance MPO’s ability to serve both research establishments and OEMs working with ultra‑high‑power laser systems”.
According to Guillaume Dubois, Strategic Development Director, Opton Laser, “We are proud to reach this distribution agreement with Manx Precision Optics. Their optics are of globally renowned for their flatness and high LIDT and certified to ISO 9001 standards. The component range will complement our wider product portfolio, allowing us to provide a more complete array of solutions to the French laser community”.
