RPMC Lasers Inc, the leading laser distributor in North America, is excited to announce an exclusive distribution agreement with MegaWatt Lasers (https://www.megawattlasers.com/), allowing us to offer their ultra-low SWaP, 1.5 μm, Er:glass DPSS microlasers. MegaWatt Lasers specializes in “eye-safe” laser technology and provides solid-state laser consulting, R&D, and manufacturing capabilities. Their family of “eye-safe” 1535nm microlasers supports a variety of laser range finding, remote sensing, and laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy applications.
Having been in operation for nearly 30 years and sharing a long-standing relationship, both companies are now eager to officially collaborate. “MegaWatt is thrilled to leverage RPMC’s network, bringing more visibility to one of the most compact, lowest SWaP DPSS lasers in the defense sector,” says Scott Hamlin, President at MegaWatt Lasers. “We’ve engineered an ultra-compact, ultra-lightweight, and sturdy Er:glass DPSS laser with high peak power, housed in a modified 9mm package, to support applications such as laser range finding and remote sensing. This design facilitates easy integration into lightweight, handheld, and portable devices for deployment in various environments.”

RPMC will offer the ER902 “eye-safe” 1535nm, 4 ns pulsed, 9mm package, miniature DPSS laser.
