| Trumpf and its UK subsidiary SPI Lasers, which specializes in fiber lasers, will be a key target for Oclaro as it seeks to cement a position as the preferred merchant supplier of high-power diodes in fiber laser systems. Although Trumpf has had a long-standing relationship with Jenoptik for laser diodes, Oclaro believes that its experience in the ultra-high-reliability world of telecommunications applications gives it an edge over nearly all of its rivals.
