One of the largest PV projects in the UK will see London's Blackfriars Bridge fitted with some 4400 solar panels manufactured by Sharp Solar in an installation by UK-based Solarcentury. The giant array is expected to be ready by the middle of 2012, in time for the London Olympics. While large projects like this (>250kW) will see no change in their 8.5p per kWh feed-in tariff, new domestic-scale installations (<4kW) will be hit as support is reduced by more than 50% from the current level to 21p per kWh.
