Organic crystal converts invisible radiation into visible wavelengths.
Researchers from Japan have shown that a single organic crystal converts invisible light into visible wavelengths, emitting red light under ultraviolet irradiation and green light under near-infrared excitation through two distinct optical mechanisms.
