| Daimler Truck North America started delivering its latest "autonomous-ready" trucks to its subsidiary Torc Robotics earlier this year, and they are now being tested on public roads in Texas. Thanks to financial support from Daimler Truck, Aeva is aiming to scale up its production of FMCW lidar units for integration in the trucks, with SAE Level 4 (i.e. driverless) operation currently pencilled in for 2027.
