Three-step process
LIS Technologies describes its approach as a three-step process using a 5-micron laser source to separate uranium isotopes. Key features are said to include selective excitation of a specific vibrational mode in 235-uranium hexafluoride, along with a simplified architecture due to the low absorption and relatively short wavelength.
