| On July 24, 2024, Vera C. Rubin Observatory's 3.5-meter secondary mirror was installed onto the Simonyi Survey Telescope. The installation was successfully completed after installing the mirror onto its support cell and moving the combined structure from Rubin's maintenance floor up to the dome level via the heavy-load platform lift.
