A fuselage segment made of thermoplastic CFRP materials was manufactured in full-size for the first time, as part of the wider Clean Sky 2 project. The aim is to enable a well-founded assessment of feasibility as well as ecological and economic advantages and disadvantages. The fuselage shell made of thermoplastic composite material weighs significantly less than conventional sections. Photo: Clean Aviation. |
