Sounding out blood vessels: arteries and veins
Researchers at OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center are studying a promising new imaging technique that could improve pancreatic cancer surgery. Pictured, the technique can distinguish arteries (red) and veins (blue) at the level of 200 microns, the width of a human hair. The same enhanced detection would be possible for cancer cells.
