| The latest version of Seno Medical's 'Imagio' system, combining optoacoustic and ultrasound imaging modalities, is described by the firm as "truly disruptive". It is able to identify malignant breast cancer tumors in real time, and should dramatically reduce the number of unnecessary and invasive tissue biopsies that are currently taken after an ambiguous growth is spotted with conventional imaging techniques.
