Ibsen Photonics A/S is recruiting a Vice President of Sales.
Are you passionate about sales? And are you a dynamic leader and a stellar sales manager? Then we might have a position for you.
Having tripled our sales since 2014, we are looking for a VP of Sales to accelerate our growth even further. You will have global responsibility for sales of our high quality, industrial-grade spectrometers to major global scientific, medical, industrial and pharmaceutical instrument manufacturers.
The full sales cycle typically extends over a period of 1-5 years, beginning with the design of a customised spectrometer in the early phase of product development, and extending through product testing and regulatory approval to product launch and volume production.
The majority of our customers are based in North America, but we are on an interesting sales journey with an ambitious international growth strategy.
The role of the Vice President of Sales
Reporting directly to the CEO of Ibsen, you will be an important part of the senior management team. You will be measured on sales, how good you are at growing the business, and how well you run your team.
As VP you will be responsible for
- Identifying and winning new major accounts
- Contract negotiations with customers
- Developing sales strategies for continued growth in underserved market segments
- Developing a strategy for our distributors/agents and managing these
- Hiring, managing, and coaching a small team of regional Sales Development Managers.
Initially you will have two Sales Development Managers reporting to you, but one of your first tasks will be to hire an additional resource – most likely based in Germany. By 2025, we expect the team to count 6 Sales Development Managers.
Furthermore, you will have direct management responsibility for our Marketing Manager, who manages marketing, product management, and customer support. Currently, this department employs a staff of four employees.
We imagine that you are located in either Europe or USA and that you can work from your home office. You can expect approx. 80-100 travelling days per year. During your first 6 months, you should expect to spend most of your time in our Headquarters in Farum, Denmark.
Why should you choose us?
There are many good reasons why you should consider joining Ibsen. One of them has to do with the culture. You will be part of a well-run and flat organisation where decision-making and execution is key. We have a good and friendly work environment and our employees take pride in what they do. |
