Master, PhD candidates and Post-doctoral positions in Neurophotonics

Psychiatry and Neurophotonics Laboratory, Québec, Canada
Employer Description

The Psychiatry and Neurophotonics Research Laboratory (PNRL) at the CERVO Center, in close collaboration with the Centre for Optics, Photonics and Laser (COPL) as well as with the Joint International Research Unit (JIRU Laval-Lausanne) in neurodevelopment, between Université Laval in Québec, Canada and University of Lausanne, Switzerland is at the heart of a great initiative (Canada Excellence Research Chair in Neurophotonics and Sentinel North) aiming at developing new multimodal high-resolution optical imaging techniques dedicated to identify new cellular biomarkers of vulnerability for major neurodevelopmental disorders.

Job Description

Within this framework, the PNRL is looking for dynamic and motivated candidates for Master's (MSc), Doctoral (PhD) and post-doctoral projects on the development of optical imaging techniques. Depending on the candidate's affinities, a more theoretical or, on the contrary, more experimental component may be given to the project. The candidate will evolve into a highly interdisciplinary research team composed of physicists, mathematical physicists, engineers, biologists and physicians. He (she) will therefore benefit from all the necessary support in the fields which are less familiar to him (her), in order to carry out his(her) project quickly and successfully.

You will be welcomed to The CERVO Research Centre, one of Canada's leading neuroscience and mental health centers, focuses on the root causes of brain diseases. The research center is located in the historical city of Québec, known for its great lifestyle.

You will join a team of 20 students and postdoctoral researchers.
