Super-resolution
Super-resolution imaging of an epithelial cell's nucleus: the red parts of the image show the adenoviral protein E4-ORF3. It forms a scaffold that weaves through the nucleus, "zipping up" a target gene into dense regions that are shown in blue. That gene is then unable to access its target DNA, or activate transcription of genes that guard the cell against viral DNA replication (shown in green). Credit: Salk Institute.
