| These quantitative phase microscope images show the lines that were written before and after the crystal was flipped. Lines written in the +y and –y directions (as indicated by the arrows) show clear differences in morphology, while a mirror change in the structural modifications was also observed when the propagation direction of the writing beam was reversed. |
