TOPTICA presents the next Generation Rack-mounted Laser Systems

TOPTICA’s tunable diode lasers and frequency combs are now available in a compact and future-proof 19-inch form factor. While this reduces the footprint and increases transportability, these products offer the same ultimate performance that TOPTICA lasers are known for across science and industry: unprecedented passive stability, unique locking solutions and narrow linewidth. Pursuant to the company motto “All Wavelengths.”, modules in the range between 369 and 1625 nm are available.

“We are listening closely to what our customers require”, says Dr. Thomas Renner (CSO and member of the executive board of TOPTICA). “Now that quantum technologies are transitioning from scientific labs into more industrial settings with higher integration, transportability and unified interfaces are more important than ever.”

The MDL pro combines up to four narrow-linewidth tunable diode lasers in one compact 2HU sub-rack. Each laser is fiber-coupled independently to allow for flexible integration into existing setups. A drawer slide design enables quick access and easy service.

The lasers can be locked to TOPTICA’s compact and low-noise frequency comb DFC, which is intrinsically offset-free due to difference-frequency generation. Various extension modules are available that convert the fundamental output of the DFC from 1560 nm to any desired wavelength between 420 nm and 2200 nm. DFC and MDL are both digitally controlled and can be operated remotely.
