OCTLIGHT is a company focusing on improving medical diagnostics by introducing fast wavelength scanning laser OCT Swept Sources for OCT systems. The company is based on research conducted at The Technical University of Denmark based in the Copenhagen Area, Denmark. OCTLIGHT has established in-house VCSEL production based on fast turn-around fab access.
OCTLIGHT want to become the preferred and trusted partner of OCT Swept Source technology that uses fast wavelength sweeping lasers to provide 3-D imaging in real time of sub-surface tissue layers.
Longer imaging range for 3-d full eye biometry for safer and more precise cataract surgery
The 1060 nm OCT Swept Source Caliper has been developed for Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) imaging used in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases.
The Caliper product is based on OCTLIGHT Micro-Electro-Mechanical-Systems (MEMS) Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser (VCSEL) packaged with a Semiconductor Optical Amplifier (SOA). Caliper is designed for integration into OCT systems and contains driver electronics, temperature control and interface electronics among these an A-scan trigger.
